St. Xavier's School, is run by the Doon Kindergarten School Society. The School was established in 1953 to give children education based on sound moral principles that would guide them for life and make them good citizens.The Society considers the formation of character the first essential of any sound education system and so great stress is laid on the inculcation of high ideals, becoming behaviour and moral rectitude.
All pupils are given a comprehensive course in Value Education. In teaching the humanities and sciences. The aim is a sound practical knowledge based on the latest techniques and the requirements of the syllabus of the Indian School Certificate Examination (+2). Games and physical culture have an appropriate place in the Time Table.
The School attaches great importance to varied programmes of activities outside the ordinary class routine. These are designed to develop Important trails of character like honesty, self-confidence, cooperation and diligence and to promote latest talents for leadership and responsibility.

I always had a strong desire to do something that would motivate and elevate the life of the people of Uttarakhand. Dehradun provided me an excellent platform, as our city is well-renowned internationally, for the type of education it has imparted over so many generations.
